The questions we get most.
What counts as an hour?
Microphone time — the minutes you are actually broadcasting, not the length of your service. Translate a 35-minute sermon inside a 90-minute service and that counts as 35 minutes. Within your plan, adding a listener costs nothing extra, and running your language costs nothing extra — the meter counts mic time only, never languages. What a plan does set is how many languages it includes: 1 on Try and Starter (the language your congregation needs, running for every mic hour you use), 3 on Church, 5 on Congregation, 7 on Multi-Site, and a count agreed per event on Events & Enterprise. Going past your plan’s languages means moving up a plan — there is no per-language surcharge.
What happens if we go over our included hours?
We don’t interrupt your service mid-Sunday. On Try nothing is billed past your 2 hours — it is a flat plan, and the next step is Starter. On every other plan, anything over your included hours is metered by the single hour at your plan’s published rate — $15/hour on Starter, $25 on Church, $40 on Congregation, $75 on Multi-Site — and shows up on your next invoice. You’ll see a usage warning at 80% and 100% so there are no surprises, and annual subscribers get a 15% hour buffer baked in, so you have to work harder to hit overage at all. There’s no bulk-block minimum: one extra hour costs one extra hour.
So every plan really has every feature?
Yes. Every feature in the list above is included on every plan — live captions and natural spoken voice, the glossary editor, the announcements builder, decision cards, the sermon notes hub, church branding, recordings and transcripts, all of it. Plans differ by size only: how many hours you run, how many users you serve, and how many languages you run. The only thing that isn’t bundled is custom voice cloning, which is an optional paid add-on because it carries real per-voice cost.
Try or Starter — which one is for us?
Try is a month to sample the whole product: one language, two mic hours, every feature, $19.99 flat — nothing is billed past the hours, and when you run out the next step is Starter. There is no free trial on Try, because Try is the trial. Starter is the plan a one-language church runs on: four mic hours a month, a free weekend trial first, and the Internet special of $49/month billed annually for the first 250 churches. Try seats up to 50 listeners and Starter up to 100; Church and above are unlimited.
Why charge by hour instead of unlimited?
Translation hours have a real, per-hour cost (transcription + translation + voice synthesis in every target language). “Unlimited” plans at sub-$500 prices usually come with quiet quality caps, throttling, or shutdowns when a customer actually uses them. We’d rather be honest: you pay for what you use, and we keep quality consistent for every customer.
How does this compare to OneAccord?
OneAccord’s published anchor is $150/month for 5 hours, with overage at $28/hour. Our Church plan sits at $149/month billed annually for 6 hours and 3 languages, with overage at $25/hour — and under it, Starter gives a one-language church 5 hours for $49/month billed annually, with overage at $15/hour. On us, every feature is already included at the first price rather than locked behind a higher tier.
What’s the annual deal?
Two things stacked. First, 2 months free — you pay for 10, get 12, which is a 17% discount on the headline monthly price. Second, a 15% hour buffer added to your included hours, rounded up to a whole hour — Starter gets 5 hours instead of 4, Church 7 instead of 6, Congregation 23 instead of 20, Multi-Site 69 instead of 60. (Try is monthly only, so it has no annual deal.) The buffer is meant to give you breathing room for the busy seasons (Easter, Christmas, conferences) without overage anxiety.
Do you offer nonprofit, academic, or mission discounts?
Yes — 15% off Church and Congregation for registered nonprofits, schools, and mission organizations. Mention it when you contact us. Larger discounts negotiated for denominational rollouts.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current billing period, no questions asked. Annual plans cancel at the end of the annual term and don’t auto-renew without a confirmation email 30 days out.
